First and foremost, we would like to say a huge thank you for believing in us by backing our project. Our entire team are extremely grateful for your continued support through all the messages as we are working extremely hard overtimes to make sure we deliver your new WAU bike exceeding all your expectations. ** Survey Friday Deadline **
To backers that have NOT yet completed their order survey, you can easily do so until this Friday Midnight. However, if you don't complete your survey by Friday, you will lose your place in line for delivery and backers that have filled in the survey will naturally take that spot. PLEASE GET YOUR SURVEY IN BY FRIDAY MIDNIGHT 21ST.

Recently we have also received more orders through our surveys. We welcome all new WAU family members with open arms! We have now received 3+ times more orders than we ever expected, which means we have to order even more supplies from our partner suppliers to fulfil more orders as we are reaching our maximum capacity.
But we are here for you and will make it all happen!! <3
** Removable WAU Battery Update **
We know everybody wants to know about the progress of the new fully removable WAU battery. Here we have included a short video to show in real life the fully removable battery for the first time ever in action! Please note this is our latest CNC WAU case. Any last safety and durability adjustments are being made and finished during the next 6 to 7 days which is when we are then fully ready for tooling and production! :)

We have also considered many ways and methods of locking the battery securely in place and concluded that placing a high-security lock on the top will substantially strengthen the WAU case and the door as a whole. Our patented WAU case may look a little different, but this is simply because it has not been sprayed with colour yet.
We believe simplicity being the ultimate sophistication. Pushing for the top industry functions all packaged in a sleek, truly clean design.
**GPS Unit Update**
We have also been working with our GPS unit, testing all possible features to ensure it is fully accurate. We have detected a few bugs, which we are working through it with our partner programmer. We want to make sure the process is as easy as possible. Here is the GPS that will be coming with your WAU. It will be securely positioned within your WAU case, and you can easily open the back and pop a sim in for the global satellite to begin communication with the WAU bike. :) 
** Complications/Slight Setbacks **
We are always transparent with our backers, and we want each and one of you to see the ups and downs of the full WAU Journey. We are all working overtime and every day working with professional engineers to resolve every single detail on the WAU bikes new battery casing. We focus on every single detail such as discussing and designing completely custom new precision safety hinges for the WAU box to ensure all weak points are covered, even down to which waterproof plug we are using to ensure complete safety.

New strict ebike regulations/certifications will be officially active in early 2019 January. Due to the new regulations, many of the electronic, computer and mechanical components we are using require to be fully checked and passed to get the full certification. The new certification is extremely strict, and we are doing our best to submit all parts to make sure they "re-pass" and legally gain all needed certification for global distribution.
New regulation laws + changes in the battery box (creating a new fully removable battery) has definitely caused a slight unforeseen delay in production. However, we will push as hard as we need to get everything produced as soon as possible.
P.S As for the annual flu, Crystal has now safely left the hospital as pushing with full power forward to get everything done. We still have 2 members Rachel and Alan who still remain at the hospital for further observations. However, we will keep you fully up to date on their progress. This unexpected flu has caused work backlog, unanswered questions from backers and survey issues remain unsolved.
**Delivery Batches Update**
Your order will be delivered according to when you have pledged online. If you have contributed before 15th October, you will fall into the first batch. Originally estimated delivery in January but have been pushed back to February. We will try to fit as many backers as possible in our first batch, rest assure those that have contributed on or before 15th October will be the first backers to receive your brand new WAUs!
We are all working very hard to get your WAU bike shipped out as soon as possible, we believe you all will be extremely happy with your new WAU, from the way it looks to the way it rides. We are working hard to make this possible for all of yous.

** Survey Update **
Surveys are now going live!
When you receive your personal survey, everything you have pledged will become credit, so all backers are required to reselect all their add-ons. If you do want to change your order, now it is a perfect time to do so.
For example - if I have purchased a WAU S with suspension, I will see WAU S together with $99 credit in my account with only $199 shipping unpaid.
For backers that have previously spoken to our team and made a contribution, the contribution will become credit, and now you can select the add-ons freely as you want.
If you have filled the survey in previously, you will need to quickly fill it out again, as this is to simply make sure we have the most up to date information for your total order. :)
Please remember, surveys are being sent out slowly. If you have not received it, don't be alarmed because our system is doing "smoke test" where it gets to send out to backers segment by segment.
If you want to purchase an additional WAU bike, we highly recommend you finish your survey as soon as possible, and we will aim to deliver your additional bike with the same delivery.

** Manufacturing Update **
Our To Do List
Now marked in bold are the tasks we have ticked off the list and successfully completed. :)
1. Change and remake the steel injection casting plates.
2. Source different connectors for the inner wiring system.
3. Create a new, watertight hinge.
4. Rework the internal computer chips, their layout and wiring.
5. Source and develop high-quality locking mechanisms to protect your battery from theft.
6. Further, re-enforce the existing WAU box design and crash test the design to make sure it works.
7. Make sure that the full design is waterproofed and protected.
8. And lastly, make sure that the improved design passes all international safety requirements and works perfectly as soon as you take your new WAU bike out of the box on delivery.
We are now working hard to complete all your most popular requests and make it all a reality for you!
The rest of the list is coming together well!
We are also currently testing and purposely overloading all key supply parts such as the WAU controller units, wiring, all safety fuses and battery cells to check for maximum safety and longevity of all our parts. Testing all the way to the point of failure to make sure that all parts don't just pass the international safety and performance tests, but pass and get through the tests with indeed flying colours!!
We have recently carried out further professional overload testing and pushed one of the controllers to the absolute maximum by putting it under extremely torturous conditions (which is safe to say will not happen on the road). We pushed through more than double the maximum power (which is just crazy amount of energy) through the circuit board to purposely make sure it fails and precisely measure how strong the part really is. We're continuously working on all parts to make sure that you do get only the highest quality, genuinely fantastic e-bike that is ready for any ride!!
We will further strengthen the design to make sure that all electronic parts are incredibly robust and very high quality.
P.S All electronic and mechanical parts will, of course, be brand new and passed all thorough safety checks before going into your new WAU bike! :)

We are in this together, and it's only right to update you guys on all the incredible ups and even on some of the downs too. Crystal, who leads all backer surveys and keeps a very close eye on all WAU accessories and upgrades (including the upcoming 200 miles power pack) management has fallen progressively more sick during the flu this week and has now been rushed to hospital and is currently in care to fully recover.
As we all need to be here for you guys and answer any questions/ provide full support to you when both the massive 200 miles upgrade + final order surveys are released, we decided to shortly postpone the email surveys and the 200 miles upgrade no later than this Tuesday or even earlier if possible! This will give just enough time for Crystal and the rest of the support team to recover and manage the backend professionally to make sure you guys have the smoothest experience possible when filling your order surveys and choosing your upgrades.
The rest of the team are recovering and doing their absolute best to power through in engineering, part supplies, safety testing and product production phases to get everything even closer to the finishing line and one more step closer to shipping!

Final Surveys
WAU team have powered through and have now finished working on all previous order surveys and registered everything in order. We are now ready to launch the last wave of the improved surveys for you guys to fill in just in time and get all orders finalised! :)

WAU Engineering Department Advancements - Update
You guys have messaged on Facebook, our email and even here on Indiegogo! :)
1. 50% of you guys have guessed 130 miles upgrade.
2. 30% guessed 150 miles upgrade.
3. And only 20% pushed as far as 200 miles!
We are super excited to share with you first that WAU will be able to go as high as 200 MILES with as much as 55Ah battery power! For the ones interested in 200 miles package, please message our team at [email protected] with the words "200 Miles" for more information about this powerful latest upgrade.
WAU S 100 Miles Upgrade - Update
Many of you have asked about the WAU 48V increased mileage. The WAU patented box can hold a maximum of 70 cells for the 36v, 250W layout, achieving 100-mile range.
For the backers that have purchased WAU S with 100 miles, due to the higher power consumption of the 500W motor the lithium cells are larger which means the WAU box can only fit 65 cells instead of 70. Therefore you will get a rear rack on the WAU House with the battery inside to push you over the 100 miles even with the higher motor energy consumption.
