Here is our Super Exciting new update to let you know of all the progress that's been happening for the past week!
- WAU Bike Manufacture -
Finally, everything is in place and all of our manufacturing robot machines are on and cranked up to the maximum capacity to drill, drill and drill your perfect WAU Bike panels!!!
Here is a glimpse of what we do on our side. Each part of the WAU box is precisely machined to case the industry-unique performance and support the aerodynamic nature of your bike. From the glowing ice logo to the shape of the battery door hinges, when you look closely, you will start to see every little detail we put in when building your WAU. Even your WAU battery/computer case is engraved with special custom detailing to signify the final birth of all WAUs! This goes to show that we are not only building your bike, but we are also building our powerful brand and you guys are our spokesmen. We will do everything in our power to make sure every detail is looked over, checked, and meets our high team standard before we ship the bikes to you. Although this does take time, however quality is paramount to us, and this is what we truly live for.
As part of quality testing, we have a dedicated team member Sam that travels with one of the prototypes everywhere he goes. His job is to take the WAU bike through its paces (hundreds of city and off road miles) and to test the WAU bike to the limit, anything and everything from the handle, brakes, motor and down to the tyres and bearings. This method allows us to refine your WAU bike as we build and assemble the electric components inside. This is an extremely effective method to test out the quality of the product. As the nature of the bike’s appearance, he has noticed WAU bike tends to attract a lot of attention from the public, showing particular interest in the WAU case and Super-Lights. Because of this, we have added extra protection within your WAU case and “more secure lock” installed to prevent intruders from getting inside the casing. Additional re-enforcement is added on the WAU outer case walls and battery box door hinge which is seamlessly integrated with the remainder of the casing, achieving the ultra clean look and further more making it very hard for any passerby to know how to get in.
- Hand Built Light-Weight All Aluminium Frames -
WAU frames shining like the iconic 80's Delorean from the Back To The Future with Marty Mcfly and Doc Brown!!
Every aluminium frame is welded by dedicated welding professionals with over 10+ years precice frame welding experience. They are now taking every one of the frames and carefully welding them together making sure to get all tight tolerances around the WAU casing perfectly spaced and ready.
We appreciate all backers that are supporting us and understand some backers didn't expect extended deadlines. We want to let you guys know, we completely understand where you are coming from and we are doing everything in our power to maximise the efficiency and speed up the process. As part of the nature of a start-up, it is inevitably obstacles do get in the way. In fact, it’s so unpredictable that anything and everything could go wrong in one day. Great innovation does take time. If we picked an average Alibaba bottle battery and attach it to the bike, the process will be a lot faster because it’s off the shelve parts but WAU bike would lose its magic.
- Range Range Range Power and Torque -
To further offer a bigger range to our backers we are officially releasing Panasonic cell upgrade for WAU Battery Pack. Panasonic batteries are industry leading battery cells that are made with extremely high energy density in mind. In fact, the Panasonic 18650 cell type is found in TESLAs (Panasonic - NCR 18650). These super-boosted power batteries are the most expensive out of them all. They hold even more power and also have faster charge cycle than the current Samsung battery cells. High performance Panasonic batteries are relatively difficult to get as they are premium batteries not commonly used in eBikes, instead, these batteries are used in Electric Cars. - Innovation -
We want to push WAU forward with continuously advancing technology. As many of you have asked about this upgrade, our team are now testing out WAU bike with AWD (dual motors/all wheel drive) as an upgrade for the existing WAU Bikes. Before we have a definite answer we need to check all onboard systems to see that everything can safely handle the full power. This is something we are testing now and we will keep you guys updated in the progress.
- Funding -
After our update regarding funding, we received a lot of emails and messages. We would like to thank everyone that offered to pay additionally to support us. As we would not ask all backers to pay additionally, however, we do appreciate the number of people which offered, and as a result, we will create a perk on Backer Kit for $10 for supporting us!! :-)
- Accessories -
We have been asked by many backers regarding additional accessories. We will be introducing a WAU bike lock, rear-view mirror, and bottle holder, coming to you in this weeks next update! We know some of you guys have asked for WAU T-shirts and hats. This is something definitely we are thinking for the future!

This is just the battery compartment alone. You can imagine that even without including the multiple computers and the onboard management systems, there are already hundreds of precision built parts for the WAU. This is truly where the magic comes together to achieve GREATNESS! <3
Funding Round
We are growing incredibly fast as a start-up and this is a super exciting journey ahead!
We are also currently preparing for funding rounds to secure finance to support our operation. More funding simply means we can hire more professional staff, boost engineering capabilities even further and speed up the whole process even faster!
In all honesty, our initial early bird pricing on Indiegogo has caused a negative effect on WAU’s Cash flow. Our manufacture cost per bike has exceeded way over the price it was sold for, however, we kept the price going as we believe in getting WAU brand out to the world and show people that electric bike can be truly great and give all backers SUPER-HUMAN capabilities with such a FUTURE packed bike like WAU. ?
Nevertheless, we are all super determined to get through this hurdle and make it through the other end, and by securing funding from investors will help HUGELY!

Tony as the eagle in the sky making sure that all departments are firing on all cylinders and working in perfect synchrony. Responsible for / driving everything from all parts orders all the way to great daily factory management, logistics and finance control.

Layaway/Finance option
We have also spoken to many finance providers to offer finance on WAU bike, in the future helping to spread the cost over easy 12 months. We are currently speaking to one of the finance providers here in the UK. Once we have confirmed we will be officially offering finance to our customers here in the UK via our WAU web-store! :-)
For those in the US, you can get your hands on a WAU bike by safely purchasing via Paypal Credit. This will give you 4 months interest-free period. Paypal credit is subject to approval by Paypal.
For those in EU, Paypal credit is slowly launching worldwide please check your country to see whether you are eligible for PayPal credit. Our web-store is currently under development, but once all is officially set up, we will let you guys know so you can for the first time ever get your WAU on Finance! :-)

Manufacturing & Shipping
The first round of shipping is estimated to start as soon as February. We do apologise for the slight delay and want to let you guys know that your WAU is only getting better with time and further developed, refined and checked before shipping! Our whole team really appreciate all of you amazing backers being here for us and patiently supporting us whilst we manufacture your new sexy WAU Bikes! As part of the nature for start-ups, a number of obstacles and challenges on the way is not uncommon. However, with all of our power and belief, we have pushed through thousands of hours to make it to the end of the tunnel! GO TEAM WAU!
!!! WAU Turbo Mode !!!
Our engineering team have further worked on WAU features and have with BIG Excitement implemented Turbo Mode into the WAUs colour display settings. This function allows you to unlock all speed restriction and furthermore overpower the electric motor producing a strong burst of acceleration shooting you forward as fast as the motor can possibly go. Now we do highly advise everyone to treat this function with great care as safety always comes first! But seriously, this new function is EXTREMELY FUN & EXCITING When unlocked!! :O :O :O

5 Tools, 2 Tons
During Christmas and New Year, all leading engineers have successfully finalised and finished all 8 stages of engineering including all detailing, all design features, safety development and thorough testing. This is a MASSIVE leap forward as this means all 5 preparatory WAU tooling pieces are now in the making/drilling stage, taking us a BIG step closer to final WAU bike assembly!! :-O
Why it takes a little extra time?
Simply put - we are different from others. The iconic WAU performance you backed on our campaign requires 5 preparatory injection tools weighting at a truly impressive 2 tons of steel. They need to be machined and put together to successfully produce the signature smart case. Super-Lights and all WAU aluminium frame are all custom too and require a fully custom manufacturing process; however as no changes were made to them during the campaign phase, all tooling already set and ready to go! :-)
If our product was generic/similar to any other e-bikes, we could quickly use off the shelve parts, existing frames and stock lights to produce the generic product. But we believe we all aren't here for that. We are here to improve upon the traditional e-bike and create something so incredibly capable, iconic and comfortable that the final ride speaks all for itself! <3 :-)
Manufacturing Update
Good news! We have now begun to receive ordered high-quality parts such as the motors, pedal, wheels, tires, handlebars and gears. Please also keep an eye out on your inbox, as we are working through your orders, we may need to confirm a few last details such as specific upgrades that go on each perfect WAU bike before shipping.

As great deals go WAU is standing strong! As a simple search of a mear 10Ah battery on Google, Amazon or Alibaba shows crazy high prices of $220+, compared to WAU offered near triple power of 24.5ah for ONLY $399 and an Industry CRAZY five times the power for ONLY $897! :O

FREE Parts Upgrade
We are currently upgrading one of the suspension parts as our team riders feel like the ride wasn't as perfect it can be and chose to make the ride even smoother. *We will let you guys know when our partner/supplier confirms with us on upgraded suspension.
WAU Defence System
Many of you guys are interested and asked about GPS unit and data usage. :-) We work in collaboration with our professional GPS partner Trackway. We are currently testing data usage and measuring the minor sim card cost to have on-demand tracking of your Bike 24/7. Your personal WAU GPS unit will easily take 3G and 4G sim cards of your local provider + Presently we are using EE here in the UK “Everything Everywhere” network provider. We are also waiting for specific information on the bandwidth and specific sim card provider that can be used with your GPS network. However, based on EE data we can confirm the following frequency works:
P.S Trackway is not a well-known tracker for bikes and is typically used for cars, speedboats, long distances professional truck fleets and other valuable transport vehicles. Trackway has multiple clients based in EU and US using local network to track their vehicles.
P.P.S Some cool features, including playback feature which allows you to see in real time where your bike is moving/going/went, is also included in your App.
