An overwhelming number of you guys as our early backers have asked us to make an easily removable battery so you guys can take the battery anywhere and charge it when you want in your office, home, garage or on the go without lugging the entire WAU bike with you.
We couldn’t pass such an overwhelmingly popular request and have been working overtime days and most nights throughout every week together with the entire WAU engineer team to get it all done and finished for you before all deliveries take place! :)
We are always super honest with you. To execute such a mammoth of a task and get this feature to every one of our amazing backers we had to rebuild the entire WAU box from scratch.
Our To Do List:
1. Change and remake the steel injection casting plates.
2. Source different connectors for the inner wiring system.
3. Create a new, watertight hinge.
4. Rework the internal computer chips, their layout and wiring.
5. Source and develop high-quality locking mechanisms to protect your battery from theft.
6. Further, re-enforce the existing WAU box design and crash test the design to make sure it works.
7. Make sure that the full design is waterproofed and protected.
8. And lastly, make sure that the improved design passes all international safety requirements and works perfectly as soon as you take your new WAU bike out of the box on delivery.
*** These Changes Are ALL On The House *** We will get this done all free of any additional charge as a BIG Thank You to your trust in us and belief from the first, early day of WAU!
*** The WAU bike design remains the same with sexy, clean lines *** There will merely be a seamless opening on the left side of your WAU box for your new battery to easily slide out at your convenience.
Originally this was never in the plan; however, we value your fantastic input and desire for WAU to be one of the best electric bikes of all time. In a way the WAU bike becomes an extension of yourself and giving you all the freedom in the world that you truly deserve. Even if that means you do not have to lug the WAU bike up and down the stairs and through doorways to charge it.
We will carry on working hard on our side and make sure everything is done perfectly to give you the BEST EVER experience! <3
WAU engineering department advancements
Our engineering department has also made a few small breakthroughs. After a few tests, we have found a way, that the WAU Bike could have an exciting future accessory! We might just be able to push the WAU bike to.. ??

Upcoming Final Surveys
The next and final wave of surveys is coming your way on the next update. As there is an unusually high number of perks and order variations, WAU team members are working through all order configurations with speed and precision. We have had our first test today; however, the user interface is not yet friendly enough to backers. We will work on surveys continuously to get them all fully registered, finished and ready for new ones to go for the next update.

As promised this is a quick sneak peek of the APP preview that you as our awesome pioneering backers will have with your new WAU Bike! Here you will be able to log in intuitively navigate + easily track your WAU Bike at any time of day, anywhere you go. We are currently working with our partners to fine-tune every special feature for you in the app and make sure that everything is ready to Rock n Roll!
We cannot wait to deliver WAUs to every one of you.
We have to be honest, it's countless sleepless nights until 5 am here at WAU to get everything finished to perfection, but it is the biggest pleasure to see the entire WAU package slowly come together!

Hello to Our Favourite Backers’!!! :]
Here is the low down of what has been happening at the WAU HQ:
Test Rides
We are extremely excited about our upcoming test rides and to meet even more of our awesome backers face to face!
- LONDON -
For those that will be joining us in London 25th November, we will be starting at 1 pm, Boardwalk, just outside of Kensington Palace in Hyde Park. We will be wearing the signature blue WAU jumpers standing right next to the awesome looking new WAU Bikes! ?
-PARIS-
For the guys in Paris, it will begin at 3 pm onward infront of the the beautiful Eiffel Tower. Get ready for photos! The views will be amazing!
Bring your friends, family and all your loved ones with you! WAU Family is continuously growing stronger!
Manufacturing
Manufacturing is all up to date. The motors have now been delivered, all computer electronics are being built together, and aluminium tubes with great craftsmanship are being turned into perfect WAU frames! Everyone is sweaty, but getting the job done right on time!
Deliveries
We know you guys are very excited about the shipments. We are working around the clock and pushing overtime in manufacture. For those that have not filled in the survey yet, rest assured we will be sending a link out to you guys very shortly. We want to make the experience for you as smooth as possible by migrating to a new fulfilment system. It will make the process super smooth and let you order any additional add-ons easily during check out. :) We will inform everybody when the new system has been fully migrated.
For batch 1, estimated time of departure (ETD) is December, estimated time of arrival. ETA is January. We will confirm with you further on which batch you fall under :)
As we have always been, we will keep all backers updated on every step of the way.
P.S In the next update we will show you a quick glimpse of the APP that you guys will have with your new WAU Bike. It's pretty sweet! We can't wait to share it with you all!

More Survey Updates
We are experiencing a large number of responses to our survey and some of backers are experiencing issues completing the survey and it crashing multiple times for them so we have temporarily closed the surveys as we work to resolve these issues.
We will post an update when the surveys are open again.
